This is the end for Internet Explorer 6!
Good News everyone!, Microsoft are finally pulling their support for Internet Explorer 6 on the 8th of April 2014, this means that the bane of many a web designer, IT professional and online gamers life is about to be put out to pasture and we don’t want IE6 to go off quietly into the night. In fact we want to throw one hell of a wake to celebrate it’s demise!!!
So on April the 8th 2014 we are hosting an IE6 wake at Tilleys Bar in Newcastle upon Tyne and we’re inviting everybody who has hated IE6 from it’s birth to it’s well needed end to come on down and celebrate with us! Get your FREE invite here
Can’t get to Newcastle on the 8th of April? Fear not, why not hold your own IE6 in your own city and we will publish the details on our website! Just send us the details here

What can you expect at the Wake?
A meeting of a group of like minded individuals, creatives, IT professionals, online gamers, companies and internet users who are happy to see the eventual demise of Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 6 or IE6 has been the bane of many a Web Designer’s (and many other’s) life for the past 12 years. With it’s incompatibility issues and it’s failure to pass the Acid Test amongst many others, hundreds of thousands of planet Earth’s best humans will be glad to see the back of this irritating and non-compliant web browser!

Tell us more about the venue
Tilleys Bar has a fantastic range of real ales, draught lagers and almost 180 of the best bottled beers from around the world and counting. The main bar is L-shaped and we have a little room, nicknamed ‘the snug’, off to the side. The snug becomes Tilleys’ Cinema in the evenings and sometimes through the day on weekends where we showcase films from our ever expanding DVD library.
